Nursery Update...
This weekend we got a new lamp, curtain rod and curtains. Nana also brought us this rocking chair. She used this for me when I was a baby! I will be painting it white and recovering it before you get here.

Curtains open, and of course Reece!

I have to end this post with a cute photo of Daddy and Reece...
It was a rainy Sunday, so while I worked in the nursery your daddy and Reece took advantage of the lazy weather and cuddled. You dad did take a break from his movie marathons to hang your curtains, then I continued to work in your room. I can't wait to finish your room and show take the final photos!

Letters to baby #17 - 100 day countdown!

Exactly 100 days from now is your expected due date (July 31)!
In celebration of this special day your daddy wrote you a letter:

My sweet baby girl, your mother and I cannot wait for your arrival. The nursery is almost ready, we have started getting the house in order, and have started letting your big brother smell some of your belongings so your arrival is not too much of a surprise. We are both very excited to have you join our little family. It brings me joy to think of our lives together, and to watch you grow into the wonderful young lady I’m sure you will become. I pray that you come into this world strong and healthy, and that your mother and I are up to the challenge of raising you to be a loving, compassionate, and caring Christ follower.

We both love you very very much,
Love Dad

Letters to baby #16

Either the oatmeal was expanding in my belly or last night you had a big growth spurt! You made my belly feel really TIGHT and my insides feel very CRAMPED this morning! I'm not at all upset with this new feeling, it's an adjustment AND a reminder that you're growing!

Last night while I was laying on the couch watching TV with your daddy, I put a cup of water on my belly so we could see just how active you were being. Your dad laughed when he saw how much the cup was wiggling! We also saw that my belly was a little lopsided at one point. I think you were poking your bottom up in the air!

Every time I feel you kick and wiggle I am overcome with joy as to what a miracle you are and how incredibly blessed your dad and I are. You've already made such an impact on our little family and we haven't even kissed your sweet cheeks yet. I can't wait to see who you look like, what you sound like, who you act like (I hope you have my temper - shh don't tell your dad!) and what you will do that will make you - YOU!

We love you so much baby girl
Love, Mommy

Kicks on Video!

Of course when I got the camera out you stopped kicking as much, but I did manage to get some little moves! Just look at the freckle on my belly, and don't blink!

The song is called American Baby by Dave Matthews...I thought it was fitting
